BACK TO SCHOOL!

You hear that? Shh…listen…that’s right…it’s the refrigerator.

And that was a bird.

Oh, and didja hear that? That was the sound of me doing a little dance.  The kids are back in shool! Woo-hoo!!!

Well, now that you too may have a just a little time for yourself, why not invest in a little schoolin’ of your own? I’m not talkin’ about a full-on career change or another digital photography or scrap-booking class…I’m talkin’ about getting better and something you already love: motorcycle riding!

Women riders at last year’s Yamaha Champions Riding School Women’s Only 2-Day School stop on track for a quick pow-wow with instructors.

The Yamaha Champions Riding School has just the gig for you.  Their annual Women’s Only 2-Day School is coming up September 13th and 14th at the gorgeous Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah and there is still space-available.  Now, before you get all weirded out about not being a racer and thinking you’re not fast enough or whatever to do any kind of track school, consider this: I actually did this last year. Not only did I do this, I learned a ton about everyday riding, and most of all, had an absolute gas doing it!  Seriously. There’s a reason they call it a riding school (not a race school).

Like last year’s women’s only event, the 2-day school includes more track time than most of our mommy-asses can handle, and some how-to-be-more-independent-with-your-bike-type seminars like bike loading/unloading, chain lubing, oil changing, and how to not completely emasculate the dudes when you smoke by them on the road (that last one will probably be led by guest-instructor and AMA Pro RoadRacing SuperSport Super-star, Elena Myers), and you’ll do it all on one of the school’s amazing Yamaha R6′s and in top-of-the-line Alpinestar’s leathers.
